July 17 - WiMCO Cruise & Connect
Last week's 7x24 SoCal WiMCO Cruise & Connect was an awesome experience! From meaningful conversations to relaxed waterfront views, to tasty food & drink, it was a perfect setting to connect with peers across the mission-critical industry. It would not have been possible without our amazing sponsors Sunbelt Rentals and C2C Power Solutions! We are diligently working on our fall educational meet up. See you all at the next event!
May 29 - Q2 2025 Inaugural Educational Event in San Diego
As many of you know, we had been diligently working over the last year to organize an event in San Diego, and on May 29, Mission Accomplished! We held our first educational event at the beautiful campus of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). We had nearly 60 RSVPs to learn about “Sustainability in Data Centers: Tech-Driven Solutions to Unlock Savings, ROI & Rebates.” The session was highly engaging, with an interactive Q&A featuring a panel of experts from Enabled Energy, Microsoft, SDG&E, Total Hydrogen, and UCSD Energy Storage Systems. Following the Q&A, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and shared drinks outside on the patio of the Design and Innovation Building. The atmosphere was lively, and it provided a perfect opportunity for networking and building connections. What a way to end the evening! Thank you to our sponsors Hawthorne CAT and H5 Data Centers!
March 31 - Fourth Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit the Families of the Wildfire
The 7x24 Exchange SoCal Chapter hosted its 4th annual charity golf tournament. Despite the gloomy weather, we had fun on the course and shared many laughs at dinner. Thank you to our sponsors for making this incredible annual event possible. I'm proud to announce that we will donate $10,000 to Pasadena Humane, which helped many families and their pets during the Eaton Fire. Additionally, we will donate $5,000 to Helping Hands to continue our tradition of community support. I want to thank my team for their hard work organizing this event. We look forward to continuing this tradition and making an even bigger impact next year.
March 20 - First ever meeting of the 7x24 SoCal WiMCO Subcommittee
The first meeting of the WiMCO subcommittee took place on March 20. A couple of members are helping us plan our first educational event in San Diego
Feb 27 - Q1 2025 Education Event: All about Hydrogen and Datacenters
We had a fantastic event on February 27 at the Engineering Department at UCI. We got a great overview of hydrogen energy from the prepared presentations, including the hydrogen rainbow. The QA session was informative and centered around hydrogen as an energy source in the data center sector. The evening concluded with food, drinks, and an incredible tour of all the hydrogen-related projects PhD candidates are researching. Thanks to all who attended and to the UCI Team for their hospitality and support in making this event a success. Special thanks to our sponsor - Total Hydrogen.
